(Issued according to the Ministerial Decisions of 19/12/1994 and
28/9/1999)
The system includes (10) articles dealing with various aspects
of student evaluation in basic education (grade 1-9). The first
article is defining terminology, and the other nine articles are
stating the school's role, the nature, procedures and requirements
for the evaluation process, as well as the evaluation methods
and instruments. It also states the requirements for promotion
from one grade to another within one cycle, and from one cycle
to another. Rating academic achievement, results interpretation,
skipping grade and general rules are among these articles. In
1999 another articles have been added regarding the part time
system in the school for those who failed twice in the same grade.
